See how we have updated the National Series Scoring Model following the cancellation of Round 4.
Hey GBSUP Racers!
We've got a quick but important update regarding the 2025 National Paddle Racing Series scoring. As you are aware, we've experienced an unexpected cancellation with Round 4, The Beadnell Belta. We're gutted about it, but these things sometimes happen, and we've been working hard behind the scenes to adjust our plans to ensure the series remains as fair and exciting as ever.
To account for this, we've made a slight adjustment to our scoring model for 2025. Don't worry; It's nothing too complex, and we've put together a short video to walk you through exactly what's changed and what it means for you.
Click below to watch the video and get the full rundown:
So there you have it! We believe this updated scoring model is the fairest way to proceed for the 2025 season, ensuring everyone still has a fantastic opportunity to compete for the National Series titles.
A quick reminder: If you complete just one or more races this year, you'll still receive a series placing and national ranking. However, for those aiming for the podium, final-year podium awards will be given to paddlers who have completed three or more races in 2025 to be eligible.
We're really looking forward to seeing you all on the water at the remaining events. If you have any questions after watching the video, as always, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
See you on the water!
The GBSUP Team
