This page provides essential information for our official media partners and outlines the accreditation process for all other media organisations wishing to cover GBSUP events.

Media Accreditation for GBSUP Events
Please note: Only approved organisations and individuals will be permitted to attend and cover GBSUP-organised or affiliated events.
GBSUP welcomes interest from all legitimate media organisations, journalists, photographers, and videographers wishing to cover our events. To ensure a smooth and productive experience for both media and event organisers, all non-official media personnel are required to apply for accreditation.
Criteria for Media Accreditation

Legitimate Media Outlet: Applicants must represent a recognised and established media outlet (e.g., newspaper, magazine, online publication, TV/radio station, news agency, recognised independent journalist/photographer with a proven portfolio).

Demonstrable Reach: The outlet or individual must demonstrate a clear platform for publishing or broadcasting content related to paddle sports, sports events, or relevant lifestyle topics.

Purpose of Coverage: Applications must clearly state the purpose of coverage and the intended use of any captured content (e.g., race report, athlete profile, photo gallery, video documentary).

Professional Conduct & Safeguarding: Accredited media are expected to adhere to professional standards of conduct and respect the integrity of the event, athletes, and other participants. This includes strict adherence to safeguarding policies concerning vulnerable persons, particularly minors. Any imagery or reporting involving children must be appropriate and respectful, adhering to all relevant guidelines and legal requirements.

Compliance with Safety Guidelines: All accredited media must comply with GBSUP's safety regulations and any instructions from event officials. Access to certain areas may be restricted for safety reasons.
Accreditation Process

Application Form: All media seeking accreditation must complete the GBSUP Media Accreditation Application Form below.

Supporting Documentation: You may be asked to provide supporting documentation, such as:

A letter of assignment from your editor/producer.

Review and Approval: All applications will be reviewed by the GBSUP Media Team. Successful applicants will receive confirmation of their accreditation via email, along with any relevant media passes or instructions for the event.

Deadline: Media accreditation applications must be submitted at least 3 days prior to the event you wish to cover. Late applications may not be considered.
Please note: Accreditation is granted at the sole discretion of GBSUP. Submission of an application does not guarantee accreditation.
