Proposed Timings
Final details are yet to be discussed with HSC, but here is our outline plan.
- Site Opens for Competitors - 10:00 am
- Check-in - 10:30 - 11:00 am
- Distance Race Briefing - 11:30 am
- Distance Race Start - 12:00 pm
- Technical Race Briefing - 2:30 pm
- Technical Race Start - 3:00 pm
- Prize Giving - 4:30 pm
Formats
As part of our Ocean Tech Series, the Norfolk race includes a Distance and Technical race.
We will look at exact formats in the coming weeks, and the weather will also influence the Distance and Tech Layouts.
Initial Plans are:
- Distance Race
- 6 - 8 km Total distance
- Single or two-lap format (conditions depending)
- Possible beach start and finish (beach conditions depending)
- Large lap or upwind, downwind course
- Technical Race
- Multiple lap format over 3 - 4 km
- Transitions each lap
- Beach start and finish (beach conditions depending)
